RENEW is a different kind of leadership experience created specifically for HR professionals.

Presented in partnership with HR + Safety Congress, RENEW brings together HR professionals from across San Antonio and the surrounding region for a morning built around reflection, connection, growth, and practical ideas they can take back to work and life.

RENEW is more than another conference. It is an opportunity to step away from the day-to-day, hear from exceptional voices, connect with people who understand the work, and invest a few hours in yourself.

RENEW was born from my belief that helping people thrive shouldn't stop at the workplace. With a deep passion for the HR profession, a lifelong commitment to developing others, and a special place in my heart for kids, I envisioned an experience that would bring those passions together. The result is more than a professional development event. It's an opportunity to invest in the people who spend their careers investing in others, while making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families facing blood cancer.

RENEW is one of the signature fundraising events of For the Kids — Alan Derek Utley's 2027 Blood Cancer United Visionaries of the Year campaign.

The For the Kids campaign has set a goal of raising $200,000 for Blood Cancer United. Funds raised support the fight against blood cancer, including research, advocacy, and support for patients and families.

How It Works

A donation of $150 to Blood Cancer United is accepted to attend RENEW.

Pre-registration is currently open at no cost. Because the 2027 Blood Cancer United Visionaries of the Year campaign does not officially begin until April 1, 2027, campaign contributions cannot be accepted before then. Reserve your spot now through Eventbrite. Beginning April 1, pre-registered attendees will receive instructions to make their $150 ticket purchase as their donation to Blood Cancer United. Once the donation is completed, your RENEW registration becomes official.
